Dance
People around her always joke that Ria started dancing before she could walk. From a young age itself, a love of rhythm and music contributed to an eager curiosity towards Dance, and led her to join Shiamak Davar's Academy, one of her first dance schools. Being a graduate of The Bangalore School of Performing Arts, Ria has choreographed several award winning performances. In order to attain grace and to maintain a strong connect to her cultural roots, Ria has also learnt Bharatanatyam in the Thanjavur and Kalakshetra styles under the Gurus - Smt Amrithavalli and Smt Rajeshwari. Currently she is furthering her education in the dance form, and working towards her Arangetram at the Kalalaya Nritha Foundation under the tutilage of Pandit Dr Naresh Pillay, reciever of the Global Achiever's Award.
On the completion of her Arangetram, Ria plans to give Dance a new meaning by starting an organization called Dance for Therapy.
